Prerequisite course:

Viola Unit 3, or Violin Unit 3

Audition: Violin Basic, or Violin Intermediate, or Violin Comprehensive, or Viola Basic, or Viola Intermediate, or Viola Comprehensive.

Deadline: All audition materials must be submitted by June 11 *
*A discounted Audition Fee applies if audition is submitted before April 16. If submitted within 8-weeks of the course start date, the regular audition fee will apply.

Trainer Information

Fernando Pinero

Fernando Piñero is the first Spanish-speaking Violin Teacher Trainer of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Director of the “Escuela de Musica Shinichi Suzuki” in Córdoba, Argentina where he organizes and conducts concerts, tours and workshops. With his students, he has performed in some of the most important concert halls in Argentina. They were recntly invited to France, where they performed at the Festival Universitaire in Belfort and in Paris.

Having started Suzuki lessons at the age of five, he completed his Suzuki training in Santiago de Chile, Austin, Stevens Point, Lima, and Curitiba, Brazil. He visited the Talent Education Research Institute, Matsumoto, Japan in 1998 where he participated as Country Representative at the Suzuki Method Olympic Games Celebration Concert.

As a clinician he travels extensively throughout Latin America. He has been invited to institutes and festivals in Lima, Bogotá, México City, El Salvador, Monterrey, Buenos Aires, Rosario, Paraguay, among others. He has also organized exchange programs and visits with several Suzuki groups such as Rocky Mountain Strings, Utah; Buffalo Suzuki Strings; the Indiana Virtuosi; The Buffalo Suzuki strings, etc..

He was Vice-President (Founder) of the Asociación Método Suzuki de la Republica Argentina, and Vice-President of the Asociación de Padres y Alumnos del Método Suzuki. Since 1999 he is a member of the Córdoba Symphony Orchestra. He has also been a member of the Orquesta Barroca del Suquia directed by Manfred Kraemer, as well as other Baroque Music Ensembles.
He holds a degree in Literature with emphasis in Linguistics from the National University of Cordoba.
