Collected Information

When you join the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) as a member, the SAA collects personal information from you including your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.

As with any website, when you access the SAA website, the URL from which you came to the site, your IP address, and your browser type and version may be collected in an anonymous manner for evaluating the security and effectiveness of the SAA website.

Use of Member Information

The SAA uses member information for the purposes of creating and maintaining individual member accounts, mailing the quarterly American Suzuki Journal and important information pertaining to your membership in the SAA, emailing the monthly Suzuki Newsletter and reminders about your SAA membership, contacting members in case of a problem with their account, sending personal information, for statistical purposes, to administer SAA systems, and to conduct surveys.

If you no longer wish to receive the Suzuki Newsletter, you may opt-out by following the unsubscribe link included in each email, or by setting your preferences here.

The SAA may share your name and mailing address on a one-time use basis with affiliates so they can mail you information about their programs. For example, this is how you receive brochures for SAA approved Summer Institutes you may be interested in attending. If you would like to prevent your information from being included in third-party mailing lists, please contact the SAA office or opt-out of the setting here.

From time to time, the SAA may use member information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in this privacy policy. If the SAA’s information practices change at some time in the future, policy changes will be posted on the SAA website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at the SAA website periodically.
