Description: Wheaton College (Illinois) seeks an accomplished administrator to serve as the director of the Community School of the Arts (CSA). This part-time position (20hrs/wk, 11 months/yr) reports to the Dean of the Division of Arts and Communication. Programing include Suzuki, Prep, Early Childhood.

Duties: The Director is responsible for CSA recruitment, retention, finance, faculty evaluation, supervision and planning.

Qualifications: Experience in arts administration, a master’s degree and strong interpersonal skills. Music teaching experience preferred.

Suzuki Piano Teacher

Description: Suzuki Music Academy of Michigan is located in the Detroit Metropolitan area. We are continuing the community music school founded in 1991 by its current Executive Director, Mark Mutter. SMA is the premier center for instrumental music education in the Metro-Detroit area.

Duties: The piano teacher will work with our present teacher to build a cohesive piano program based on the philosophy and pedagogical insights of the Suzuki method. The teacher would build a studio (15 student wait list) and would teach group class. Collaborative piano would be are part of the job as well.

Qualifications: Minimum of a B.M. in either Piano Performance, Collaborative Piano or Music Education. Suzuki Method training through Book 3 is preferred.

Full-time Suzuki Guitar Instructor

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Description: North Florida Suzuki School is a well-established program located in Tallahassee, Florida. We have been providing lessons in the region for the last 10+ years and have a thriving guitar program with a waitlist. Students range from PreTwinklers through advanced high schoolers.

Salary: Starting salary of $30,000-$33,000
Flexible and negotiable schedule- typically four afternoons/evenings of teaching per week plus occasional weekend commitments

Suzuki Strings Teacher
