Our Suzuki Summer Institute is one of the oldest ongoing institutes in the nation. Join the celebration as we continue to grow and evolve in our 56th year! Special events, concerts, and activities—including our famous two hour Belle of Louisville dinner cruise—in addition to our accomplished and inspiring faculty make this a special institute year you will not want to miss. This summer’s Institute promises to continue a long tradition of quality instruction to students of all ages and levels.

Air-conditioned dorm rooms within walking distance of the School of Music building.

Recreation

This is our 56th institute year so there are many evening activities which include a faculty concert and an evening cruise on the Belle of Louisville. Other places to visit include the Frazier History Museum, Louisville Slugger Museum, Kentucky Derby Museum, Louisville Science Center, Louisville Zoo, Speed Art Museum, Falls of the Ohio State Park, Muhammad Ali Museum, and Planetarium.

Other Info

All classes are located in the air-conditioned and handicapped accessible School of Music building on the University of Louisville downtown campus. All students must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.


The SAA does not run the workshops and summer institutes; it approves separate businesses to run them.
