This MM program is designed for accomplished pianists who intend to pursue careers as teachers of piano and/or Suzuki piano.
An audition is required prior to admission. Applicants should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in music from an accredited institution with piano as the principal instrument, and course work equivalent to that contained in the Bachelor’s degree conferred by the University of Tennessee.
Pedagogy requirements may be fulfilled by Suzuki Piano Method studies covering units 1-7, including psychology, procedures and the literature of the Suzuki Piano Method. Please address all questions about this degree to Professor Fay Adams.
