Teri Einfeldt
Congratulations to the Hartt Suzuki String Program on twenty-five years of excellence in Suzuki education, and to Teri Einfeldt, who was honored at last weekend’s celebrations!
At the January 18-19, 2014, weekend of celebrations, Teri Einfeldt was honored with the State of Connecticut’s Governor’s Proclamation for her development and growth of the program and was presented the distinctive Alfred C. Fuller Award from the Hartt School in recognition of outstanding service to the Hartt School as artist, teacher and visionary.
The celebration weekend also included master classes, a play-in, and plenty of social gatherings. A highlight was the Suzuki Alumni Orchestra Concert, conducted by Emmett Drake and featuring soloists Monica Davis, violin, Molly Gebrian, viola, Michael Haas, cello, Sirena Huang, violin, Erin Keefe, violin, Susie Kelly, cello, and Letitia Nyirjesy Quante, violin. The concert also featured remarks by former Hartt Community School Directors Michael Yaffe and Mark George and Dean Aaron Flagg. Proceeds from the concert benefited the Suzuki Fund for Access and the David Einfeldt Fund.

What a great tribute to Teri. Her passion is shown so evidently in the personal relationships she maintains with all of her students. A great example for young teachers of “living” the Suzuki Philosophy.
