1. In addition to the recent appointment of five new Board members, SAA Board voted to appoint Ellen Kogut, Quebec, as Chair Elect. She will assume the position left open by the  resignation of Rolando Freitag earlier this year. Ellen, a violin teacher based in Montreal, has served on the SAA Board of Directors since 2018. She writes that she is “inspired by Suzuki’s vision of education” and looks forward to working with the organization further on behalf of its membership.

  2. After nearly six years of service, Michael Bogomolny (“Bogo”) has resigned from the SAA Board. Bogo has contributed an enormous amount to the SAA through his legal knowledge, writing skills and deep listening. The Board will miss Bogo’s engaging humor and heart, and says goodbye to him with admiration and gratitude. Bogo will continue to stay engaged with the SAA through his new role as Suzuki cello parent.

  3. Three additional board members will finish their terms in August of 2021. The Board is accepting nominations at this time and will continue to do so throughout the winter. That election will take place in the spring.
