Emily Rolka

Emily Rolka received her B.M. from the University of Michigan while studying with Yehonatan Berick, her M.F.A. from the University of Iowa studying with Dr. Scott Conklin, and her D.M.A. from the University of Minnesota studying with Mark Bjork. All degrees are in violin performance. Emily began violin as a Suzuki student at the age of six in East Lansing, MI and began teacher training near the end of her undergraduate studies by taking the ECC course in 2006 with Geri Arnold. Followed by training with Christie Felsing, Ronda Cole, Practicum with Nancy Lokken, SPA with Teri Einfeldt, and long-term training with Mark Bjork for books 1-10. The past three years, Emily taught at a Suzuki program at the St. Paul Conservatory of Music in St. Paul, MN. Currently, she is director of a Suzuki program in Williamsport, PA.
