Cello Graduation Ceremony

The cello students at the Suzuki School of Newton in Waban, MA, were able to have a socially-distant graduation ceremony back in October of 2020. The graduation ceremony has been one of many efforts to increase safe in-person events during the pandemic, as not to lose a sense of community amongst the students at SSN. A number of group classes, graduation ceremonies, and events have been held outside on the historic front-porch since the pandemic begun. It has improved morale and gave SSN’s students the precious opportunity to play together in-person again, although under quite different circumstances than before.
