Cathy Williams Hargrave

Cathy Hargrave received her B.M. from the University of Louisville, M.M. in Performance from Butler University (Indianapolis, IN) and holds a Teacher Training Certificate from the Talent Education Research Institute in Japan where she studied with both Dr. Suzuki and Dr. Haruko Kataoka (co-founder of Suzuki Piano) for four years. She is the author of Reading Music by Ear, Basic Rhythm Studies, and articles for the Suzuki Journal. A registered Teacher Trainer with the Suzuki Association of the Americas and the European Suzuki Association, Cathy has taught at institutes, workshops and conferences in the US, Canada, Russia, and private lessons in Japan. She is also a member of the SAA Heritage Committee. She currently operates a home studio in Quinlan, TX.
