Cello Drawing

Cello

By Grace Robinson

I will be a hundred cellos,
all in one.
I will play – I will sing,
I’ll have fun.

I’ll describe a murky rainforest,
with the rhythm in my soul.
I’ll be a thunderous storm,
It’s my only goal.

And when I’m done with my few songs,
People stand: applause.
I’ll smile and bow down with thanks,
It’s my only cause.

Grace Robinson, age 10, studies Suzuki Cello with Dr. Alice Ann O’Neill, SC, at the Mount St. Joseph Suzuki Program in Cincinnati, Ohio.

CELLO, CELLO,
I love you.
CELLO, CELLO,
What about you?
When everything is silent,
And I want to play,
I get out the CELLO,
And play all day.
