Renata Pereira

Renata Pereira starts to play recorder as a child, and teenager decided to be a professional recorder player. Her Bachelor’s degree in recorder (2004) was held in EMBAP—School of Fine Arts Music of Paraná. Her master and doctoral’s researches were held at University of São Paulo (2009, 2014) both with FAPESP’s scholarships. In 2003 she participated in Suzuki training courses with Katherine White at Suzuki Recorder Institute San Mateo/USA, and in 2012, she was a Recorder Clinician at Suzuki Conference in Minneapolis/USA. Since 2006 she is recorder player and founding member of Quinta Essentia recorder quartet with whom released three albums: La Marca (2008), Falando Brasileiro (2014) and the Art of fugue (2017) spreading the Brazilian recorder practice touring to Europe (2009, 2010, 2014, 2016) , China (2010), Namibia (2012), Bolivia (2014), USA (2016) and Australia (2017). She is a founding member of the Associação Musical Suzuki SP.
