Frank Viola

Frank Viola is a graduate of The Hartt School of Music, where he currently is a staff accompanist for the Hartt Community Division. He has been an accompanist for the Hartt Suzuki Program since its inception in 1987, regularly playing for recitals, group classes, and coachings. He has accompanied at numerous Suzuki Institutes, workshops, and SAA Conferences, and has toured with students in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Among the masterclasses Frank has played for include those led by Louise Behrend, Seymour Bernstein, Heidi Castleman, Chee-Yun, Edward Cumming, James Ehnes, Pamela Frank, Vadim Gluzman, Ani and Ida Kavafian, Katie Lansdale, Brian Lewis, Midori, Karen Ritscher, Toshio Takahashi, Koji Toyoda, David Updegraff, Tom Wermuth, and members of the Emerson and Miami String Quartets. Frank is also the organist at Old St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church (Bloomfield, CT), accompanist for the Pratt & Whitney United Chorus (East Hartford, CT) and Manchester Chorale (Manchester, CT), and has worked extensively as an IT consultant in the insurance industry and for defense subcontractors.
