Carolyn Mead

Carolyn Mead, Suzuki Association of the Americas Cello Teacher Trainer, maintains an active studio of young cellists in Rochester, MN and plays in the Rochester Symphony Orchestra. She holds degrees from Oberlin and the University of Michigan, and studied Suzuki pedagogy with Dr. Tanya. L. Carey at Western Illinois University. Carolyn has served on the faculties of the Atlanta Suzuki Institute, the American Suzuki Institute and Sound Encounters. Before coming to Minnesota, Carolyn taught strings and orchestra in the public schools in Nebraska, Wyoming, and California.
