Event Description

EFH’s Online Suzuki Institute is a wonderful alternative to in-person institutes which can be very expensive and challenging for families who must arrange travel and lodging and deal with ever-changing pandemic protocols. Our Virtual Suzuki Institute provides a relaxed, yet engaging and purposeful learning environment where empathetic and caring teachers tend closely to the needs of each participant.

The online institute offers Mini-Lessons (masterclasses), Repertoire Play-Alongs (group classes) as well as fun and engaging Technique-Building Classes focusing on vibrato, sight-reading, and practice strategies. Students will delight in the enrichment offerings – fiddling, pop music, and improvisation – and parents will find nourishment during our individualized Practice Coaching sessions which include how-to strategies and useful feedback given in real-time. Practice Coaching sessions are also available to students who practice independently.  Each day is capped with a virtual evening parent talk which includes support for parents from experts in pedagogy and child psychology, question/answer sessions, and community-building activities for parents.
