Returning in 2021
Education For Happiness strives to serve the community through warmhearted and compassionate education. Our approach focuses on the character and well-being of the teacher and learner, leading to a better educated and happier society.Since its formation as a nonprofit organization in 1998, The Phoenix Ensemble, now Education for Happiness, has been a resource for artists and the educational community. We have collaborated with many well-known artists in projects, concert series, and recording albums. In 2001, PE executive director Gabriel Bolkosky founded PhoenixPhest!, a chamber music festival based on the ideals of the Cleveland Quartet. Since then, it has grown into our flagship events, MayPhest, a weekend long chamber music festival, and PhoenixPhest Grande, a week-long expansion that includes a chamber music curriculum along with private lessons, electives, and a full-scale Suzuki institute and teacher training.
