Dr. Yu-Ting Huang is currently a first-section violinist in Northwest Symphony Orchestra and Bozeman Symphony Orchestra, living in Renton, WA.

She entered her music world via playing the piano at 5 years old and started playing the violin since 8 years old. She earned a Doctor degree at the University of Kentucky, where she received a full scholarship under Prof. Daniel Mason, a student of Mr. Jascha Heifetz.

As a top-prize winner of many string competitions, she performed as a Concertmaster of the National Dong Hwa University Symphony Orchestra, and a Concertmaster of the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and the first-section violinist of the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra Concert in the Carnegie Hall, New York City.

She has 12 years’ violin teaching experience for both private and group classes. She believes that to learn violin is challenging but joyful and rewarding. She uses the Suzuki materials for teaching, and believes that Suzuki method is one of the greatest way to start music experience for beginners. Because of using the Mother-Tongue method, students will set a solid foundation of violin and enjoy experience at the same time. As a violin instructor in the Renton Violin Studio, Yu-Ting is excited to meet and share her experience with every new student.
