Tristan Siegel, originally from Tenafly, New Jersey lives and works in New Haven, CT as a violin teacher and performer. He graduated with high distinction from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University with a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies, and a Performer Diploma in Violin Performance. Here, he studied with Alex Kerr and was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Eugene Eleanor J. Knapik Fund and the Jascha Heifetz Scholarship. Tristan is an active and versatile chamber musician having performed with musicians from the Metropolitan Opera and popular artists including Michael Bolton.

Tristan has been invited to numerous festivals and chamber music series around the world including the Pacific Music Festival, the Sarasota Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, the New York String Orchestra Seminar, and the Alexander Schneider Series at the Mannes School of Music. In the Spring of 2019, Tristan recorded a selection of Beethoven Chamber works as part of the NAXOS 250th Anniversary Collection of Complete Beethoven works. Tristan has been generously granted extended use of a 1945 Arturo Fracassi violin by the Chimei Museum in Tainan, Taiwan.

Tristan has taught since 2014 and was a violin teacher at the Elizabeth Morrow School in Englewood, New Jersey and the Elizabeth Faidley Studio in New York City. He received his pedagogical training from Mimi Zweig and Brenda Brenner at Indiana University and his Suzuki Violin Method training under the guidance of Andrea Yun and James Hutchins.
Tristan is now pursuing his Masters of Music at the Yale School of Music with a full-tuition scholarship.
