Tera Murdock received her Bachelor of Music in Performance and a Certificate in Suzuki Pedagogy at Northern Arizona University in the Spring of 2022. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Performance and Pedagogy on violin at the University of Oregon, studying under Prof. Hal Grossman. Her previous teachers include Steven Moeckel, Shelley Rich, and VerRona Grandil. Her mentors for Suzuki training include Dr. Louise Scott and Dr. Karin Hallberg. Prior to university, she performed in the AMEA Regional and All-State Orchestras, Youth Symphony of the Southwest, and various ensembles in high school. At NAU, she has performed with the Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, serving as concertmaster, and in various chamber music ensembles. She was a finalist in the 2022 NAU Concerto Competition, performing the first movement of the Korngold Violin Concerto. From 2019 to 2022, Murdock has performed with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. Murdock is passionate about teaching the violin to students of all ages and is grateful to be a part of her student’s violin journeys.
