SAA Member

Sarah Coley began studying music at age 3 with piano. After much begging and pleading, she added violin at age 9 and viola while in college. She has been teaching for over 16 years, and enjoys teaching students of every age and at every stage on their musical journey. She takes great care in helping each student become confident and competent at their instrument, and developing and strengthening their character. Her studio is comprised of students ages 3-18 where she offers private lessons and group lessons on a weekly basis. While the majority of her students attend lesson in-person, she has had great success with online students as well. She studied music composition while at Boise State University, and has done extensive Suzuki Teacher Training with Cathryn S. Lee, Dr. Julia Hardie, Sue Baer, Mosche Neumann and Barbara Barber. She considers herself a lifelong learner, and continues to seek out training and additional educational opportunities to further strengthen her teaching abilities and better help her students. When she isn’t busy teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and five children (ages 10, 8, 5, 2, and 3-months). She also loves practicing with and teaching her own children as they go on their own musical journeys in Suzuki-land.
