Rebekah Larrucea studied violin at BYU with Monte Belknap and Donna Fairbanks at Utah Valley University, where she has served as concertmaster and violist of the UVU Symphony. Rebekah has soloed with the Utah Symphony five times.

In addition to the Utah Symphony, Rebekah has also performed with the Debut Orchestra in Beverly Hills, Utah Valley Symphony, UVU Symphony, and others.

Rebekah began studying violin with her mother when she was just 12 months old. She continued her studies with Deborah Moench, Barbara Williams, and Katherine Eberly. She played her first full symphony at the age of 7, and played solo violin in “Fiddler in the Roof” when she was 12. She has won many prizes and honors such as Utah Prize in the first Stradivarius International Violin Competition, First Prize in the Utah Baroque Competition, and 2nd place in the Grand Junction Symphony Competition. When she was just 12 years old, she began a ten year term serving as concertmaster of the Lyceum Philharmonic & Music Festival. Additionally, she has been selected as concertmaster of Utah’s All-State Orchestra, and performed with both the National High School Honors Orchestra and Orchestra at Temple Square.

In 2020 she won 1st place in the college division of the ASTA solo competition.

Currently she maintains a studio of young violinists/violists. Additionally, she is associate director of the new Vivace Chamber Ensemble, string coach for the Vivace Orchestra Camp, Mountains and Strings Camp, and Bryce Canyon Music Camp. She is also a substitute teacher for the fine arts (orchestra and choir classes) for Alpine School District.
