Bio
Violinist and Violist Rebecca Bressanelli currently teaches and performs in Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, St. Robert, Richland, Rolla and the surrounding communities in Missouri. Rebecca was a 2017 second place winner of the American Fine Arts Festival String Competition, which resulted in a recital performance at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall. Perpetually passionate about sharing music in the community, Rebecca served as concertmaster for the Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra (Irmo, SC) and has performed with the St. Louis Civic Orchestra as a member of the viola section.

Rebecca recently founded the Roubidoux Chamber Players which is a community chamber music initiative dedicated to bringing music to Pulaski County, Missouri. The Roubidoux Chamber Players is made up of several small chamber ensembles which are comprised of volunteer musicians. The musicians are retired, amateur and professional woodwind and string players. Rebecca also performs as a violinist for her wedding music service: Strings on Route 66.

Rebecca also collaborates with local libraries and schools in South Central Missouri to help bring educational music programs for students and music enthusiasts of all ages to enjoy. Most recently, Rebecca worked with the Rolla Public Library (Rolla, Missouri) to bring music to their storytime hour.

Rebecca holds Violin Performance degrees from Western Illinois University (Bachelor of Music) and the University of Iowa (Master of Arts). Rebecca’s teachers were Julieta Mihai and Katie Wolfe. Rebecca studied chamber music with Moises Molina and Elizabeth Oakes.

Rebecca is an active teacher in the community and currently maintains studios at her home studio FLW Suzuki Strings and in Rolla. Rebecca has completed Suzuki Violin Teacher Training with Nancy Lokken, Beth Titterington and Daniel Gee Cordova. Rebecca completed Suzuki Early Childhood Education training (Stage 1) with Sharon Jones and will be offering group SECE classes for babies and toddlers ages (0-4) and their caregivers in the Fall of 2022. The location and time of these classes is TBD.

When Rebecca is not teaching or performing, she enjoys going on hikes with her English Pointer, Oreo.
