Described as a ‘Compelling Violinist’ by the New York Times, Patrick Doane performs with ensembles including Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Harrisburg Symphony, North Eastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Hotel Elefant, and American Contemporary Music Ensemble. Busy as a performer, he has served as concertmaster for international tours with The Manhattan Symphonie as well as with other New York City based orchestras. Patrick has appeared alongside artists such as Savion Glover, Keith Lockhart, Mark Dresser, and members of the Muir, Portland String, and Attacca Quartets. He received his bachelor and masters degrees from Juilliard and as a composer has had works commissioned for string quartet and chamber orchestra.
Patrick is currently working on his Doctorate of Musical Arts at The Graduate Center in New York City, studying with Daniel Phillips. At the same time he is a Resident Artist at Music Haven, in New Haven Connecticut, where he gives tuition free music lessons for young local musicians. A Suzuki kid himself, Patrick is thrilled to be teaching young people in the Suzuki Method.
