Natalie Ormsby has been teaching traditional and Suzuki piano, music theory, and elementary school music for over a decade. Ms. Ormsby joined the Levine Music faculty in 2017 and is actively engaged in creating new curriculum that promotes early interest in music, piano, and music theory. Her most recent projects have been training as a Suzuki piano teacher, writing and engraving music theory workbooks for Levine Music, and using her books as the primary text in a new beginner theory course. Ms. Ormsby received her undergraduate degree in Piano Performance and Music Theory from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music and her Master’s of Music in Solo Piano from University of Maryland College Park. Ms. Ormsby enjoys performing as a soloist and collaborative pianist, but her passion is educating and inspiring the next generation to appreciate, love, and create music.
