Born and raised in Victoria, BC, Canada, Natalie Dzbik was involved in a variety of music lessons including voice, piano, violin and viola. She took piano and voice lessons and performed frequently until high school, when she began to focus primarily on the violin and viola. She studied violin with Yasuko Eastman, viola with Kathryn Ranger, and returned to violin with Sharon Stanis of the Lafayette Quartet at the University of Victoria (Uvic). In 2017, she graduated from Uvic with a Bachelor of Music in Composition under the tutelage of Christopher Butterfield. After this achievement, Natalie discovered her aptitude and passion for film scoring. She attended the Palomar film scoring and the NYU Video game scoring workshops in 2018 and 2019 respectively, which furthered her education.  Since 2018, she has written scores for over 10 short films, with nominations for best scores at film festivals, and continues to work as a main composer for Zenith Film Production based in Detroit, Michigan.

Before moving to Chicago, Natalie was an active freelance musician and a studio teacher at New West Music School in Vancouver (Canada) and surrounding areas. She has played with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra, Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, and many other professional ensembles in the Vancouver Island and mainland regions. She has also taught dozens of students as a piano teacher and a certified Suzuki violin teacher for more than 10 years.

Despite being classically trained in piano and string instruments, Natalie exhibits exceptional skills in improvisation and folk music which she nurtured as the violinist in Polish folk music ensemble The White Eagle Band in Victoria. She continues to use these skills as part of her film scoring and her personal projects, as well as a part of teaching. In her free time, she loves to play guitar and sing, write songs, and create covers of popular music. She is very excited to have her own studio in and around Oak Lawn, Illinois.
