Natalia Hidalgo Castro
Violin, Piano Teacher
Natalia began her studies at age three when the Suzuki Methodology began in Costa Rica. Her mother, musician harpist of the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica at the time, was among the first group of parents who decided to commit to the Methodology. Natalia attended college with an emphasis in violin at the National Institute of Music as well as additional courses in piano at the same institution. She was part of the OSI (Orquesta Sinfónica Infantil), Advanced Chamber Orchestra and OSJ (Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil), as concertmaster and principal section respectively. Studied with Professors Mercedes Moreno, Tetsuo Yagi , Guido Calvo and Jose Aurelio Castillo, current concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica. She has received numerous master classes with prestigious musicians in the same National Institute of Music and served on international tours with the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil in Europe and the United States.She began receiving courses to become a Suzuki Teacher since 2011. Today she teaches at Suzuki School of Music in San José, Costa Rica.
