Originally from Memphis, Nancy Ditto has taught and performed throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Asia. Nancy has been a member of the Memphis Symphony, Toledo Symphony, Saskatoon Symphony (Associate Concertmaster), Greenville [SC] Symphony, and Charlotte Symphony (sub). She has also performed with New York City Opera National Company, Brooklyn Philharmonic, and with orchestras of numerous Broadway shows in New York City area where she worked as a free lancer for 14 years. She was on faculty at the Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC for 19 years where she taught both college and pre-college students. Recently completing her DMA at University of Memphis, her dissertation is entitled, “Rising from the Ashes: Sowing a New Generation of Post-Pandemic Violin Students.” She is currently director of Colonial Acres Music Academy, where she maintains a small studio.
