Mr. Mircea Ionescu, a graduate of Roosevelt University with a Bachelor’s in Music Education and has received Suzuki training under Timothy Durbin at the University of Louisville.

Mircea has been teaching for over 19 years the violin, viola, cello and piano. His teaching experience started at age seventeen as an assistant conductor to the mandolin orchestra at church.

He is now teaches and directs the Suzuki Program at the Oldham County Arts Center in Crestwood, KY.

Alongside teaching private music lessons, Mircea has also started the string program at Sayers Classical Academy three years ago, has taught at Raspberry Ridge Music Camp for four years and currently teaches at the *Kentucky Christian String Camp. 

Mircea really enjoys seeing students grow into well-rounded and passionate adults, instilling in them a love for music, learning, character and excellence, having fun all at the same time!
