Dr. Mimi Morris-Kim returned to her native New Jersey in 2011 after living 12 years in Michigan where she was assistant camerata director and cello teacher at the Suzuki Royal Oak Institute of Music. She has degrees in cello performance from Rice University and the University of Michigan and has studied with some of the most prominent pedagogues in America including Norman Fischer, Robert Culver, Tanya Carey, and Anthony Elliott. Her students have performed in Carnegie Hall and received full music scholarships for college study and at prominent secondary institutions such as the Interlochen Arts Academy. After moving to New Jersey, she was hired to create the cello program at Princeton String Academy, where she worked for six years. Dr. Morris-Kim currently has a thriving studio in Pennington, New Jersey and performs throughout the Delaware Valley.
