Miss. Meghan Faw

Meghan Faw began her teaching career in 2014 as a volunteer at the University of Texas String Project, where she worked under established teachers and had her own teaching evaluated. Ms. Faw moved to Chicago in 2017 where she created her own private studio and was involved with outreach programs at various Chicago Public and Private Schools, teaching group and private lessons. She also has experience teaching beginner piano lessons.
An avid performer, Ms. Faw received her Master of Music degree from DePaul University in 2019, where she studied under Janet Sung, a renowned international soloist. She received her Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017, where she studied with Sandy Yamamoto, a founding member of the Miro quartet. Previously, Ms. Faw studied with Frank Huang, current concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic. Ms. Faw has performed with musicians such as Itzhak Perlman and Michael Bolton.
Ms. Faw understands what it takes to be a competitive violinist in today’s climate and is dedicated to the growth and success of her students. She has experience working with ages 3-adult and levels from complete beginner through advanced. Ms. Faw is now accepting private students in New Jersey.
