Based out of West LA, Megan Letky is an accomplished violinist and pedagogue. Megan has always valued music education and is currently a teaching artist with the LA Phil’s YOLA program where she finds joy in filling young lives with music. Megan earned her master’s degree in violin performance and pedagogy from the University of Oregon under the tutelage of Fritz Gearhart and Lillian Manis. She received her bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she worked closely with concertmaster of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, DeAnn Letourneau. Megan has performed with several orchestras in Eugene and Las Vegas and has also collaborated with non-classical musicians in less formal settings. She has been teaching for over five years and is especially gifted at starting young children on the violin. When she’s not practicing, performing, or teaching, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and miniature goldendoodle.
