Megan Dufrat

Pianist Megan Dufrat is currently pursing her Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at the Desautels Faculty of Music under the tutelage of Dr. Laura Loewen, Dr. Judy Kehler-Siebert and Dr. David Moroz, where she is the recipient of the prestigious Graduate Student Scholarship, and James B. Hartman Scholarship. Recently, Megan represented Manitoba at the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers National Piano Competition and was the inaugural recipient of the Dorothy Lother Scholarship. Megan is in high demand as a collaborative pianist and works with the University of Manitoba Concert Choir, Women of Note Choirs, Manitoba Underground Opera and the UofM Opera Theatre Program. She has been a featured performer in festivals across Canada including the Opera NUOVA Summer festival in Edmonton, Alberta and the Tuckamore Chamber Music Festival in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Megan currently teaches through the University of Manitoba Division of Preparatory Studies working with pianists of all ages and abilities.
