Megan Bauer graduated from Oberlin Conservatory and College in 2004 with degrees in Violin Performance and English Literature. She has completed training for Suzuki Books 1-7 and 9-10, a supplemental course for Books 7-9, a Books 1-5 overview, a Mark O’Connor Books 1-2 seminar, and the Every Child Can Course; she began training in the Dalcroze Method with Jeremy Dittus in 2015 and earned her Dalcroze Certificate from the Dalcroze School of the Rockies in July 2020. Megan is currently working towards earning her Dalcroze License.

Megan has studied under Gregory Fulkerson, Kyung Sun Lee, Tom Wermuth, Edward Kreitman, and Rebecca Sandrok; Suzuki teacher trainers include Edward Kreitman, Thomas Wermuth, James Maurer, Nancy Jackson, Ed Sprunger, Linda Case, and Ronda Cole. Megan has been teaching at various schools and privately since 1999, including the Western Springs School of Talent Education and the Christopher Laughlin School of Music. The Evanston Suzuki School was founded in 2006.
