Marlene Scherk is a Suzuki piano instructor. She received a B. Music Ed. and a B. Music Therapy from Florida State University and a Master of Special Ed. from Georgia State University. She has worked as a registered Music Therapist (1974-79), a music instructor for Yamaha Music Schools (1979-92), a Suzuki Piano Instructor (1979-present) and also a Musikgarten preschool instructor (1998-2010).

Professional organizations include SAA (international, state, and local chapters), MTA, and ECMMA.

Ms. Scherk currently lives in San Diego with her husband, Robert.
Her daughter, Sarah, is 28 and currently lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
