Violin Teacher
Marcos Osaki, 50, is a Suzuki violin teacher in the city of São Paulo. Nowadays, he takes lesson with Eliane Tokeshi at Universidade São Paulo. He began his studies in music at the piano, at the age of 5. At 8, he began studying the violin with teachers Takeshi Nishi, Cecília Guida and Alberto Jaffé, graduating from Conservatório Paulistano. He played several recitals and concertos with Orquestra Sinfônica Jovem do Estado de São Paulo and Orquestra Filarmônica Jovem de São Paulo, under conductors Ailton Escobar, Abel Rocha and Juan Serrano, with Claudio Cruz providing technical coordination. He has taught the violin at his own Suzuki School, Escola de Música Suzuki de São Paulo, Projeto Cordas & Cia., since 1987, and is its current director. He is a founding member of Associação Suzuki do Estado de São Paulo. In addition to this, Marcos is a tax lawyer, with a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Law. His education includes an MBA in Coaching.
