Lydia Plaut, is a violist, violinist, and educator based in Cleveland, Ohio. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Suzuki Pedagogy at the Cleveland Institute of Music studying with Kimberly Meier-Sims. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from New England Conservatory in Viola Performance with a Concentration in Music-in-Education.

She has participated in summer music festivals including Madeline Island Chamber Music Fellowship String Quartet program, Aspen Music Festival, and Heifetz International Music Institute. A lover of orchestral music, she was also a member of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra.

She is passionate about making music accessible to all children and has taught young musicians from preschoolers to high school students in various roles including as a private teacher, Suzuki group class instructor, and chamber music coach.
