Ms. Lisa Lederer
*Lisa Lederer* has guided hundreds of violin students in their discovery of their own special talents for almost a quarter century. Ms. Lederer trained at New England Conservatory and the American Suzuki Institute and is registered through Book 8 with Suzuki Association of Americas (SAA).
Ms. Lederer owns and is the Director of Cambridge Suzuki Violins, which is located at the Cambridge Music Consortium in Cambridge, MA. Her students are regularly accepted into the District orchestras and have performed in local venues such as Symphony Hall, the Boston Children’s Museum, at local events such as the WGBH Cartoon Festival, the Harvard Square May Fair and have performed the National Anthem for the Boston Celtics.
In addition to teaching privately in Cambridge and Jamaica Plain, Ms. Lederer is on the faculty of the Rivers School of Music in Weston, MA. She is a former faculty member of the Longy School of Music Suzuki Program where she directed its Suzuki Program for twenty years, as well as a former faculty member of the New School of Music and the Bedford Public Schools string program.
Active in the MA Suzuki community, she is a Board member of the Suzuki Association of MA and is a past Director of the Massachusetts Suzuki Festival, past President and past Membership Secretary of Suzuki:MA and has also served on the Suzuki:MA violin committee. She is a guest clinician at workshops, institutes, camps and festivals throughout New England.
Lisa Lederer is an accomplished performer who freelances extensively in the Boston and New England area and has performed with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Boston Ballet, New Hampshire Symphony, as well as many other orchestral, choral and chamber groups.
