Cellist Lina Aldana has had a multifaceted career as a musician and an inspiring educator for the community. As an avid Suzuki educator, Lina leads a private studio where she enjoys teaching students of any age and level. Additionally, as one of the founders of the Alabama Cello Society, Lina has taught at the Community Music School of the University of Alabama, the Philharmonic of Bogota Education Project, and the South Georgia String Project. At the college level, Lina has also served as a teaching assistant at Valdosta State University and the University of Alabama.

Lina continues to maintain a rigorous concert schedule in the United States and Colombia as an orchestra player, recording artist, and chamber musician. She has performed as a cellist with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra, Shoals Symphony Orchestra, Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Gulf Coast, the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia. Lina possesses extensive knowledge of the orchestral repertoire and has collaborated with several well-known soloists and conductors.

Lina holds a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the National University of Colombia, a Master of Music Performance from Valdosta State University, and is currently awaiting graduation for her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Alabama. Throughout her musical journey, Lina has had the privilege of studying under esteemed instructors such as Julio Gutierrez, Gabriel Guzman, Ana Isabel Zorro, Steven Taylor, and Moises Molina.
