As someone whose mom enrolled her in piano lessons at the age of three and who is now a mother of two young children herself, Lenni Jabour fully understands both a parent and child’s perspective when it comes to learning how to play the piano, and the value of early childhood music education.

Classically trained in piano in both RCM and the Suzuki Method, Lenni’s early love of music led her to become a professional musician (thanks, mom!).  Before settling in Toronto, she lived in New York, Los Angeles and Paris performing live concerts and composing original music for her own recordings as well as professional theatre and film productions.  Lenni’s Suzuki trainers are Gail Lange, and Dorothy and Sharon Jones, all of whom worked directly with Shinichi Suzuki at the Talent Education Institute in Matsumoto.

Lenni developed Little Music’s learning program to foster in young students a deep and sustained love and understanding of music, the foundation and building of their individual creative outlets, and the bonding of families through Suzuki learning alongside the community-building that comes with it.  Her own sense of self-discipline in addition to her directive practice strategies are essential for families in her piano program; her attentive, fun and loving approach to babies and toddlers in her Suzuki Early Childhood program – plus her thorough knowledge of the scientific evidence related to the effects of early music learning – have made Lenni one of the top music teachers for young children in the city.

Lenni is Past-Chair of the Suzuki Association of Ontario, a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and a member of the Early Music Association of Ontario.  She is the founder and Director of Little Music Suzuki Method Learning in Toronto.
