I began my classical guitar studies under the direction of Michael Newman at Mannes College of Music, while playing in rock bands throughout the 1990’s and 2000’s in NYC. From 2003-2006 I was fortunate to study Suzuki pedagogy under the direction of Seth Himmelhoch at the Thurnauer School of Music in Tenafly, NJ while earning my guitar certification through Book 3.

After receiving my Masters Degree in Music Education from (Hunter College) and my NYS teaching certificate, I was offered the position of Guitar Director at Suffern Middle School, New York. After several years, I entered the world of international teaching, and I have taught at schools around the world in London, Spain, Jordan and China,

In addition to teaching Suzuki method to young learners, I have also run a private studio for students of all ages for over 20 years, creating individualized student-centered lesson plans in music theory, song-writing and in various genres such as rock, folk, jazz, blues, etc. I believe in a holistic approach that contributes to the well-being and creative growth of the student.
