Leah Mee Zelnick

Dr. Leah Zelnick holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in violin performance from SUNY Stony Brook in May 2011. She also received her Master of Music degree from Stony Brook, and her Bachelor of Music degree from Cleveland Institute of Music. Her main teachers have included William Preucil, Ani Kavafian, Pamela Frank, Philip Setzer and Soovin Kim. A teacher-trained Suzuki method instructor, Dr. Zelnick began violin studies at the age of three and studied for most of her life with Doris Preucil of the Preucil School of Music in Iowa City, IA. In addition to teaching, Dr. Zelnick has also performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player across the U.S., Europe, and parts of Asia.
