Krysta Fogel is a graduate of Temple University, where she earned a Master’s of Music degree in String Pedagogy under the tutelage of Jeffrey Solow. While at Temple, Krysta performed with the TU Symphony Orchestra, Opera Orchestra, Contemporary Ensemble, and New Music Ensemble and studied pedagogy with Jeffrey Solow and Eduard Schmieder. She has also performed extensively throughout the northern Virginia area and has received a Bachelor’s of Music in Violoncello Performance from Shenandoah University.
Krysta is a violoncello and early childhood music educator at Settlement Music School in West Philadelphia, South Philadelphia, and Willow Grove, PA. Her greatest joy in life has been sharing music with others and watching her students grow in their lives through music. She has completed Suzuki Cello Unit 1 training at the Ithaca College Suzuki Institute with Sally Gross and Unit 2 & 3 training at the Greater Pittsburgh Suzuki Institute with Beth Goldstein-McKee. In addition to Suzuki training, Krysta has additional certification in Orff-Schulwerk and is a member of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association.
