Kenneth Mok

Kenneth Mok is a superior and versatile violinist who uplifts every session in which he appears. In his career thus far, Mok has performed with many orchestras in both Hong Kong and Boston. He is currently the concertmaster of the Umass Boston Chamber Orchestra and principal second violinist with the Unitas Ensemble. He performs regularly with such orchestras as the Boston Civic Symphony and the Boston Chamber Orchestra. In recent times he has performed at such venues as the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Hong Kong City Hall, Central Conservatory in Beijing, Ely Cathedral and Southwark Cathedral in the UK, Berklee Performance Center, Hynes Conventional Center in Boston, Jordon Hall and Boston Symphony Hall.

In addition to his work in classical music, Kenneth Mok has worked in many different settings in popular music. In Hong Kong he has accompanied such pop singers as Chet Lam, Wada Hiromi, Bleez and 2R, and in Boston he is on Eli Reed’s album Come And Get It. He has also been part of the Video Game Symphony with each concert featuring music that originated from video games being performed by a live orchestra and choir, making classical music more accessible for large audiences.

The violinist, who is a resident artist in the Suzuki Institute of Boston and a member of the faculty at the Dedham School of Music, can be heard on You Tube accompanying singer Chet Lam on the likable pop song “Kitchen” and “Dust And Soap Bubbles.” He can also be seen performing new classical music with Lina Marcella Gonzales and the Unitas Ensemble.
