Ms. Judy Smith

Ms. Judy Smith has been teaching Suzuki piano, flute and voice for over 30 years in the Plano/DFW area and has recently relocated to Schertz/Cibolo area just NE of San Antonio.  She was the founding president of the NTSA (North Texas Suzuki Association) and is an active member of the SAA, MTNA – San Antonio Association, TMEA and Sigma Alpha Iota.  Her BM degree is from Houston Baptist University and her MM is from Holy Names University with certifications in Kodaly music education and Suzuki pedagogy.  She has additional Piano Basics studies from Haruku Kataoka in America and Japan,  where she also had the opportunity to observe Dr. Shinichi Suzuki and Toshio Takahashi.  Other musical experience includes accompanying for numerous instrumental and vocal performances, teaching elementary general music in several states, and conducting choirs of all ages.  Ms. Smith delights in joyfully awakening the song in each student as they Twinkle towards artistic excellence.
