Jonathan began his musical study at the age of 4 in Toledo Ohio. He studied at Bowling Green State University where he received his Masters of Music in Violin Performance in May 2013. While at BGSU he studied with Vasile Beluska and Ioana Galu. In 2011-2012 he worked with the Toledo Symphony Suzuki program and graduated from Otterbein University in 2011. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts where he studied under David Edge who is a member of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Jonathan has taught violin privately since 2012 and has had extensive training in both the Traditional and Suzuki teaching methods. 

Jonathan has served as the Concertmaster of the San Diego City Ballet Orchestra since 2016. He has also played with orchestras in the Ohio and Michigan areas since 2007 as a section violin.  Jonathan was the Co-Concertmaster of the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra in 2012-2013 and was the Principal 2nd violin in 2011.  He has performed many times throughout his schooling as an orchestra member, in chamber concerts, and in solo recitals.
