Janice LaMarre was on faculty at the Manhattan School of Music Precollege, and has taught College and Graduate music classes at the Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, and Yale University. Dr. LaMarre has taught music to school-children in New York City and Connecticut Public Schools, as a Juilliard Morse Fellow and a New Haven Symphony educator.

Dr. LaMarre gives masterclasses as a guest clinician in Canada and the US.  She also gives school performance-lectures based on dramatic scripts, to introduce children to music.  Janice performs recitals in such venues as Carnegie Hall and Columbia University, and will soon release a CD of Schubert and Beethoven.

Studying ECC and Book 1 first in Canada with Karen Kimmett, Janice went on to take the remaining Violin books with Louise Behrend, Allan Lieb, and Katherine Gerson of the School for Strings in New York City. She completed the training with the intensive Practicum at the Colorado Institute, studying with Mary Cay Neal and Books 9-10 with Mark Mutter at Suzuki Royal Oak.
