Irene Claude 
is an adjunct flute instructor at Saint Xavier University and South Suburban College, flute teacher at St. Giles School in Oak Park and Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in Chicago, and teaches flute privately in her home studio. She plays second flute with the Lake Forest Symphony and occasionally with other ensembles including Chicago Master Singers, Folks Operetta, New Philharmonic and the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra. Irene performs on faculty recitals at South Suburban College and Saint Xavier University, and on the Music Teachers of Hyde Park Artist Recital Series. She is also a Music Together teacher for Marsha’s Music.

Irene has a Master of Music degree from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has completed Suzuki pedagogy studies in Books 1-5, and training in Dalcroze, Music Together, Kodaly, and Orff Schulwerk. She is a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Chicago Flute Club, Dalcroze Society of America, Music Teachers of Hyde Park, National Flute Association, and Suzuki Association of the Americas.
