Irene Claude teaches flute at her Hyde Park studio. She played second flute with the Lake Forest Symphony from 1998—2020, and currently plays as a substitute musician with the Illinois Philharmonic, Lithuanian Opera Company of Chicago, New Philharmonic (College of DuPage), and Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra.

Irene has a Master of Music degree from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has completed Suzuki pedagogy studies in flute and piano, and training in Dalcroze, Music Together, Kodaly, and Orff Schulwerk. She is a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Chicago Flute Club, Dalcroze Society of America, Music Teachers of Hyde Park, National Flute Association, and Suzuki Association of the Americas.
