Ian Jett is currently finishing his Doctorate in Musical Arts at the University of Oregon under Professor Hal Grossman.  He received his Master of Music degree and Performer’s Certificate from Missouri State University and his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Oklahoma.  Mr. Jett has won several state and national competitions.  He has soloed with several orchestras, including the Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra and the University of Oklahoma Symphony.  During summers he has studied at Marrowstone Music Festival, Aria International Academy, Texas Strings Camp, Camp Allegro Wichita, and Taneycomo Festival Orchestra.  Mr. Jett has performed for teachers such as Felicia Moye from McGill University, Ron Patterson from University of Washington, and Naoko Tanaka from the Juilliard School.  Recently, he was awarded the Principal Second Violin position with the Newport Symphony, and has performed as section violinist with the Eugene Concert Orchestra, Newport Symphony, Eugene Symphony, Rogue Valley Symphony, Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, Springfield Symphony, and the Tulsa Signature Symphony. Ian was recently appointed Suzuki Teacher and Coordinator at the Music School of Delaware.
