Ms. Gayle L. Castle

Ms. Castle is the founding member of the Vision for the Arts Academy, LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Vision for the Arts Academy is an LLC in the process of becoming a non-profit organization. The Vision for the Arts Academy LLC is an arts academy with a Vision to empower every individual to realize their personal growth through the arts of string playing, orchestra, chamber ensembles, conducting, philosophy, and creative writing.
Ms. Castle has pioneered the Vision for Young American Conductors Program at the Vision for the Arts Academy LLC. In this innovative program, young students learn the skills of conducting, including rehearsal and performance of an ensemble through their conducting class and within an orchestra of their peers as well.
As Director of Orchestras, Ms. Castle currently directs the Vision Ambassadore String Quartets. She was the guest conductor for the 2006 OMEA District 2 Junior High Honors Orchestra and the 2005, 2008, and 2011 Harry Alexander Music Festival Orchestra.
Ms. Castle is also Director of the Suzuki String Program at the Vision for the Arts Academy LLC and maintains an active studio of Suzuki violin and viola students.
Ms. Castle received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Bowling Green State University. Ms. Castle has studied conducting with David Barg, Youth Symphony of Kansas City’s Guest Conductor, and Brian Cole, former Associate Conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Castle has served the Ohio Music Education Association in adjudicating for the Northwest and Southwest Region Orchestras. She is a member of the American String Teachers Association, the Ohio Music Educators Association, the National Education Association, and the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
