Mrs. Gail Auberg

Violin Teacher

SAA Member

Gail is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. She taught first, second, and third grades in the public schools in Illinois and Virginia prior to beginning her own family.
Gail began traditional violin lessons at age 7 and continued instruction through high school. While in college, she played in the Western Illinois University Orchestra.
Gail was an active member of the York River Community Orchestra from 1985—1995 under the direction of Jim Paschall. During that time, from 1991, she became interested in learning about the Suzuki Method of teaching violin. She began instruction with Suzanne Schreck and continued with Anne Bugg and then Karen Stowe. She left the orchestra to spend more time with her studies and her own violin studio.
Gail studied all eight books of the Suzuki curriculum at the summer institutes given by the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA), as well as privately with her instructors. She continues to be a member of the SAA.
